Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time)
Optimize performance and reliability of our data stores, primarily AWS RDS and Redis
Collaborate with DevOps and Engineering teams to integrate data pipelines into CI/CD workflows
Build ETL/ELT processes for internal tools, analytics, and future data products
Monitor data quality, performance, and storage costs, with a focus on observability
Help plan and implement future data infrastructure (e.g., data lake, data warehouse)
Contribute to defining data governance, security, and retention best practices
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar role
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., RDS, S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM)
Knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell)
Experience with Redis for caching or data storage
Comfortable working in a DevOps/Cloud-native environment
Experience with tools like Airflow, dbt, or Kafka/Kinesis
Background in data analytics, BI tools, or ML workflows
Experience with data security, privacy, and compliance practices
