Role Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer (Fabric & Power BI) with 1–3 years of experience to join our team at NextGen Digital Solutions in Mumbai. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, managing data integration, and building analytical solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and other data engineering tools.
Develop and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets to meet business needs.
Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality, transformation, and integration from multiple sources.
Implement ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, cleansing, and preparation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
Apply Row-Level Security (RLS) and other security best practices in Power BI.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
Stay up to date with the latest features in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure data services.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI development.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows, or Synapse integration).
Strong knowledge of Power BI (reports, dashboards, DAX, Power Query).
Familiarity with SQL (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization).
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) for data integration and analytics.
Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git).
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice To Have)

Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS.
Exposure to other ETL tools or data integration technologies.
Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data engineering workflows.
Familiarity with deployment pipelines for Power BI and Fabric.
