• Quickly master new tools and techniques within the Databricks ecosystem
• Contribute to building reusable data assets and frameworks.

• Build & Innovate:

  Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and other modern data tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data needs and requirements.
• Document data pipelines and processes for future reference.
• Craft innovative solutions to complex data challenges, transforming raw data into valuable, actionable insights, data products or reusable assets.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure and processes.
• Data Excellence: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and systems.
• Implement best practices for data storage, processing, and governance.
• Adhere to Australian data privacy laws.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Up to 2 years of Data Engineering experience in Databricks
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and PySpark
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication/presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team environment.
• Databricks Data Engineer Certification will be a plus
• A relevant Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
