Role Description

This is a contract-based on-site role for a Data Center Mechanical QA/QC Engineer, located in Mumbai. Responsibilities include overseeing and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes for mechanical systems in data center construction projects. The engineer will review design specifications, inspect installations, manage compliance documentation, and ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements. The role involves collaborating with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful execution of mechanical works.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QA/QC procedures, standards, and quality management systems, particularly for mechanical installations.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including HVAC, piping systems, and other critical data center infrastructure components.
• Experience in reviewing technical drawings, design documents, and specifications for compliance with project requirements.
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections and assessments, ensuring high-quality installation and adherence to safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to generate detailed reports and maintain comprehensive documentation of QA/QC activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Relevant certifications in QA/QC or project management will be advantageous.
• Prior work experience in data center construction projects and familiarity with industry-specific standards is highly desirable.
