Data Center Engineer

As a Data Centre Executive Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations and maintenance of data centre facilities. Your proactive and detail-oriented approach, along with strong technical skills, will be crucial in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues both physically and remotely. Your experience in providing remote hands and eyes support and familiarity with DC monitoring tools will be beneficial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Remote Hands and Eyes Support:** - Serve as the primary point of contact for remote hands and eyes support requests. - Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostics of hardware, network, and infrastructure issues. - Execute hands-on tasks directed by remote engineers and document all activities performed during support sessions. - Implement connectivity physically when required. - **DC Monitoring:** - Monitor data centre infrastructure and systems using monitoring tools, identifying potential issues. - Respond promptly to alerts and notifications, investigating root causes and escalating critical incidents as necessary. - Document incident details, resolutions, and follow-up actions in ticketing systems. - **Incident Management:** - Manage and prioritize incoming support tickets and incident reports, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs. - Assign tickets to appropriate teams, track progress, and communicate incident status updates to stakeholders. - Participate in incident post-mortems and contribute insights for process improvements. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a data centre or IT support role. - Strong technical knowledge of data centre hardware, networking, and infrastructure components. - Familiarity with data centre monitoring tools and incident management processes. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
