Job Role: ServiceNow CMDB Consultant Job Location: Remote --candidate must visit the Hyderabad client once or twice a month. Key Responsibilities : Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive ServiceNow CMDB ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Define CI class structures, data models, and relationships. Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to enhance CI population and visibility. Troubleshoot discovery challenges and enhance coverage and accuracy. Integrate CMDB with external systems using APIs, MID Servers, and ETL tools. Monitor CMDB health via dashboards, audits, and reports. Define and enforce CMDB governance processes and compliance. Align with ITIL best practices and work closely with Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management teams. Provide mentorship to junior developers and technical guidance within the team. Maintain documentation and present CMDB compliance/health metrics to stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications : 510 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB , Discovery , and Service Mapping . Strong knowledge of infrastructure components (servers, networks, cloud, applications). Expertise in JavaScript , Glide scripting , data modeling, and custom integrations. Hands-on experience with MID Servers , REST/SOAP APIs , and data integration tools. Solid understanding of ITIL v3/v4 framework, particularly Configuration Management. Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder interaction skills. Preferred Certifications : ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) ServiceNow Discovery and/or CMDB Specialist Certification
