Data Architect (SQL Expertise)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with deep expertise in SQL to design, optimize, and manage our enterprise data architecture. This role involves creating scalable database solutions, ensuring data integrity, and aligning data systems with business objectives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and evolution of enterprise-wide data architecture aligned with business goals.
Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using SQL and modern database technologies.
Define and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards across platforms.
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into robust data models.
Oversee data integration, migration, and transformation initiatives from legacy systems to cloud or hybrid environments.
Mentor junior architects and data engineers, fostering best practices in data modeling and SQL optimization.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools to enhance data infrastructure.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including data flow diagrams, metadata repositories, and architecture blueprints.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or database development.
Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.
Strong background in relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
Proven experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory).
Familiarity with data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time data processing.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
