Data Analytics and Sustainability Specialist - General Procurement

Role Overview

The Data Analytics and Sustainability Specialist within General Procurement will design and implement data-driven solutions to enhance procurement performance, advance sustainability goals, and ensure regulatory and supply chain transparency. This role combines procurement analytics with sustainability strategy to identify improvement opportunities, provide actionable insights, and help the organization achieve responsible sourcing objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Analytics & Reporting :

- Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data (spend, supplier performance, etc.) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

- Design dashboards and custom reports for procurement and sustainability KPIs.

- Collaborate with IT and Procurement Team Members to maintain high data quality and integrate data sources.

Sustainability Assurance :

- Support the development and implementation of sustainable procurement strategies (e.g. environmental impact, ethical sourcing).

- Track and report on progress against ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) procurement targets.

- Handhold the suppliers for assessments regarding sustainability credentials and compliance.

Process Improvement :

- Analyze end-to-end procurement processes; recommend data-backed improvements for cost optimization and sustainable outcomes.

- Work on the process optimization by reducing waste and developing the digital solutions with / without the help of IT.

- Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and external sustainability standards.

- Monitor and flag sustainability risks in the supply chain through data analysis.

Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business, or related field.

- Proven experience (3+ years) in procurement analytics, supply chain sustainability, or a similar role.

- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and procurement systems (e.g., SAP ).

- Familiarity with sustainability standards and ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, SBTi, ISO 20400).

- Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and presentation skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional and multicultural teams

Preferred candidate profile

Professional certifications in sustainability (e.g., LEED Green Associate, GRI Certified).

- Experience with automation, AI/ML for procurement data analysis, or digital transformation projects.

- Strong understanding of financial statements with the ability to effectively analyze financial data

- PL-300: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification

- Strong communication skills for presenting data and sustainability outcomes to non-technical stakeholders
