Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI and SQL Scripting to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building interactive dashboards, writing complex SQL queries, and transforming raw data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support business objectives.

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.

Build and manage data models in Power BI using DAX and Power Query.

Ensure data accuracy and consistency by implementing quality checks and validation processes.

Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to consolidate data from multiple sources.

Monitor performance of reports and dashboards; implement optimizations as needed.

Stay up to date with BI tools, best practices, and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.

2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modeling).

Strong proficiency in SQL scripting (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or other dialects).

Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

Familiarity with other BI tools like Tableau or Looker (a plus).

Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (optional).
