Data Analyst, REC Management (Transport)

Role requires multitasking capabilities for effectively handling multiple opportunities at the same time, ensuring each preparation receives the necessary attention and meets the deadlines.

We are seeking motivated individuals to join the Transport Commercial team and help us to drive growth within the market. This position will involve a variety of tasks, working with the team to support: measuring and reporting on our performance, data analysis and supporting our market knowledge through CRM. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive Strategic Business Intelligence.

    Lead the gathering, consolidation, and interpretation of data from diverse sources (CRM, internal databases, market research, and external benchmarks) to deliver actionable insights that strengthen Global Transport’s competitive edge in tenders and market positioning.
  • Act as a Strategic Advisor for global BD work.

    Operate as a trusted partner to leadership, providing consultative input on market trends, commercial opportunities, and strategic initiatives—similar to a management consulting approach—while leveraging data-driven evidence.
  • Enable High-Level Decision-Making.

    Develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and executive briefings for the Transport Commercial Team and Global Transport Leadership, ensuring insights directly support strategic priorities and organisational goals.
  • Lead Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis -

    Conduct deep market research and competitor analysis, transforming raw data into meaningful intelligence that informs pricing strategies, service offerings, and growth opportunities.
  • Champion Data Automation and Visualisation

    Implement automation and advanced visualisation techniques (interactive dashboards, scenario modelling) to enhance data quality and accelerate strategic planning cycles.
  • Support Critical Governance and Reporting

    Assist in preparing governance documentation and progress reports for live tenders and strategic projects, ensuring clarity and alignment with leadership expectations.
  • Advance Tender Excellence

    Collaborate with Opportunity Owners and internal teams to optimise tendering processes, integrating advanced tools and AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency and success rates.
Qualification

This role is ideal for an experienced Graduate passionate about managing business operations and driving growth within the Transport Commercial sector. If you have a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a keen interest in this field, we encourage you to apply.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in market intelligence, data analysis, and business decision support.
  • Interest in business management and work-winning strategies.
  • Demonstrated skills in Business development softwares such as MS Office, PowerBI and CRM systems. Experience on scripting tools (e.g., SQL, Python) would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with automation processes and data visualization techniques.
  • Capabilities to multitask, managing multiple opportunities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent networking skills and a global mindset to establish and nurture relationships.
  • Proactive approach and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
