Cybersecurity Practice Lead

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership:
• Define and execute the cybersecurity practice strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Identify emerging trends, threats, and technologies to evolve service offerings.
• Client Engagement:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their security needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Lead pre-sales activities, including proposal development, solution design, and client presentations.
• Team Leadership:
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing cybersecurity team.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Service Delivery:
• Oversee the delivery of cybersecurity assessments, risk management, compliance audits, and incident response.
• Ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction in all engagements.
• Collaboration & Enablement:
• Work cross-functionally with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to integrate security into all aspects of operations.
• Develop and deliver internal training and awareness programs.
• Thought Leadership:
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums.
• Publish whitepapers, blogs, and research to establish the firms cybersecurity expertise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership or practice management role.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent.
• Proven experience in managing cybersecurity projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in consulting or professional services environments.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Incident response and threat intelligence expertise.
