The Customer Technical Project Manager leads the technical execution of medium to large customer projects, serving as the primary technical interface and escalation point. This role oversees all phases from planning and deployment to acceptance and care, ensuring network availability, smooth operations, and adherence to quality and risk standards.With good expertise in HLR, HSS, SDM, 5G UDM, and Nokia PNF/CNF platforms, the position also involves guiding troubleshooting, multi-vendor integration, and technical resource coordination. Additionally, the role identifies improvement opportunities, supports solution validation, and ensures successful handover to operations.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Serve as the primary technical contact and escalation point for medium and large customer projects, working closely with project management and technical teams throughout all delivery phases.
- Manage all technical activities defined in the customer contract, ensuring quality, risk control, and timely execution from preparation to deployment, customer acceptance, and care phases.
- Ensure operational continuity and network availability by proactively applying BG/BL guidelines and PM@Nokia methodology, while supporting the PEO in project planning and delivery acceptance.
- Validate technical workload and resource requirements, overseeing allocation, onboarding, release, and overall resource readiness for technical tasks.
- Lead technical execution during deployment and care phases, including core network implementation, system acceptance, multi-vendor integration, fault management, preventive maintenance, and HW/SW upgrades, while performing risk analysis and implementing mitigation actions.
- Identify opportunities for contract expansion, support solution validation with Solution Managers, and ensure seamless handover to operations after delivery completion.
Key Skills And Experience
Must have:
- A Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in leading technical activities for medium to large customer projects, acting as the primary technical interface and managing escalations.
- Proven expertise in project planning, risk analysis, resource coordination, and ensuring network availability across deployment, acceptance, and care phases.
- Hands-on experience in core network implementation, system acceptance, multi-vendor integration, fault management, and HW/SW upgrades.
Good to have:
- Familiarity with BG/BL guidelines, PM@Nokia methodology, and customer contract frameworks.
- Ability to identify opportunities for contract expansion and support solution validation with Solution Managers.
- Strong documentation, knowledge-sharing, and cross-functional collaboration skills to support smooth handover and continuous improvement
