Freelance Customer Support Specialist

German (DACH) marketplaces,

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer queries via

    Freshdesk

    and/or marketplace portals (Amazon, Otto, Kaufland, Temu, Check24, etc.).
  • Provide

    timely, accurate, and empathetic

    responses through email, chat, and message boards.
  • Handle issues related to

    orders, returns, cancellations, refunds, and product information

    .
  • Escalate

    complex or unresolved cases to internal teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with each marketplace’s

    customer service standards and SLA

    requirements.
  • Maintain a

    professional, brand-aligned tone of communication

    at all times.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in

    E-commerce Customer Support

    (experience on global marketplaces preferred).
  • Excellent

    written communication skills

    and strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as

    Amazon Seller Central

    ,

    Otto Partner Portal

    ,

    Kaufland Seller Portal

    ,

    Temu Seller Central

    , etc.
  • Knowledge of

    customer support tools

    like

    Freshdesk, Zendesk, or Gorgias

    .
  • Strong sense of ownership, reliability, and accountability.
  • Ability to

    work independently and meet fixed working hour requirements

    .
  • Stable internet connection

    and ability to deliver responses within agreed timelines.


German Language Handling (Mandatory Skill):

  • Must be able to manage and respond to customer messages in German.
  • Fluency in German is not required, but the candidate must know how to use AI or translation tools (such as ChatGPT, DeepL, or Google Translate) to accurately understand and reply to customers in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner.
  • The key expectation is to ensure precise and contextually correct German-language communication with customers.
