Summary:As a Software Development Engineer, Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, you will lead large-scale Oracle Cloud Payroll transformation programs, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll delivery for global clients.This role combines hands-on functional expertise, project management, and team leadership to deliver high-impact results.This role requires both deep functional expertise and AI-enabled leadership "” leveraging automation agents, predictive payroll analytics, and AI copilots to deliver efficient, compliant, and insight-driven payroll operations. You'll drive innovation, mentor cross-functional teams, and ensure clients maximize value from their Oracle HCM Cloud investments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll modules.Conduct requirement workshops to capture payroll rules, policies, and statutory requirements.Configure Elements, Balances, Costing, Payment Methods, Retro-pay, and Fast Formulas to meet client business needs.Ensure seamless integration of Payroll with Core HR, Time & Labor, and Absence Management.Oversee functional testing (SIT/UAT), data migration, parallel runs, and cutover planning.Manage and mentor a team of Payroll consultants and coordinate with technical teams for interfaces and reports.Ensure global payroll compliance and support multi-country rollout strategies.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive process standardization and automation.Participate in pre-sales and solution design, developing proposals, estimates, and proof of concepts.Stay current on Oracle quarterly updates and ensure compliance with regulatory and product changes.Professional & Technical
Skills:10–14 years of overall experience in Oracle HCM domain.Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Payroll.Strong understanding of Payroll configuration, processing, costing, retro-pay, and Fast Formulas.Experience in at least three full-cycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations.Deep expertise in Core HR, Time & Labor, and Absence Management integrations.Strong knowledge of global payroll compliance, audit, and control frameworks.Excellent leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.Experience managing large functional teams in a global delivery model.Oracle HCM Cloud certification in Payroll or Core HR.Experience in multi-country payroll setups and statutory compliance (e.g., India, UK, US, APAC).Familiarity with AI/automation frameworks for payroll validation or reconciliation.Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.Exposure to Accenture tools like myConcerto or SynOps for delivery acceleration.
Additional Information:The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.This position is based at our Bengaluru office.A 15 years full time education is required.MBA (HR/Finance) or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
