Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crisis Planning & Preparedness

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive crisis management and business continuity plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats (natural disasters, cyberattacks, public relations crises, etc.).
  • Create and lead training exercises, simulations, and drills for crisis response teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Crisis Response

  • Serve as a point of contact and leader during crisis situations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional crisis response teams to ensure a unified and timely response.
  • Manage internal and external communications during crises in coordination with PR/Comms.
  • Monitor ongoing incidents and adjust response strategies accordingly.
  • Post-Crisis Analysis & Recovery

  • Conduct after-action reviews and prepare detailed reports following incidents.
  • Identify lessons learned and update plans, protocols, and training based on findings.
  • Support departments in returning to normal operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, regulatory bodies, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry-specific crisis management standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain crisis logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide regular updates and briefings to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Emergency Management, Security Studies, Communications, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CBCP, CEM, ISO 22301) a plus.
  • Experience:

  • 3–7 years in crisis management, emergency response, risk management, or related field.
  • Experience leading responses to real-world crises is highly desirable.
  • Skills:

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with crisis simulation tools, incident management software, and risk assessment methodologies.
