Job Overview

Responsible for sourcing, screening, hiring and onboarding qualified seafarers for various vessel types. The role involves maintaining an active talent pool, coordinating with manning agents and training institutions, and ensuring that all crew sourcing activities comply with company standards, flag state requirements, and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, source, and recruit competent seafarers in accordance with the client and company crewing matrix.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive database of qualified seafarers across all ranks and disciplines.
• Coordinate with manning offices, recruitment partners, and maritime academies to ensure timely crew availability.
• Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates based on experience, certifications, and compliance with STCW, MLC 2006, flag state requirements, and other maritime regulations.
• Verify documents, certifications, and endorsements to ensure compliance with international maritime laws and company standards.
• Coordinate with shipowners, managers, and other stakeholders regarding crew placement and rotation schedules.
• Ensure timely deployment and repatriation of crew members.
• Maintain strong relationships with seafarers to build a reliable talent pipeline.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best recruitment practices.
• Handle administrative tasks related to crew employment, contracts, and payroll coordination.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Studies, HR, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in crewing, manning, or seafarer recruitment within the shipping or offshore industry.
• Strong knowledge of STCW, MLC 2006, and flag state regulations.
• Excellent networking and communication skills with the ability to engage seafarers and manning partners globally.
• Proficiency in crewing software and MS Office applications.
• High attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
