Credit Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct credit appraisal and sanctioning of MSME LAP proposals within delegated limits
• Assess customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, PD assessment, and risk evaluation
• Prepare and review Credit Appraisal Notes (CAM), income assessment, obligation analysis, and eligibility computation
• Approve, reject, or raise queries on loan proposals in line with credit policy and risk framework
• Ensure adherence to defined Turnaround Time (TAT) by monitoring proposal movement
• Coordinate with branch teams, MSME sales, legal, technical valuation, FI, and risk teams
• Support branches through PD discussions and underwriting guidance, as required
• Monitor post-disbursement compliance, documentation, covenant adherence, and end-use of funds
• Track portfolio performance and support collection and risk mitigation initiatives
• Ensure effective coordination between HO, RO, and branch teams
• Maintain underwriting processes within approved policy, guardrails, and regulatory norms

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong credit underwriting and financial analysis capability
• Sound understanding of MSME LAP products and risk mitigation frameworks
• Ability to evaluate policy, regulatory, and portfolio-level impact
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and credit systems
• Willingness to travel, if required
