Credit Manager

Job Purpose

To manage end-to-end credit appraisal, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring for 3-wheeler / 2-wheeler electric vehicle financing with a strong focus on maintaining asset quality, minimizing delinquencies, and ensuring compliance with CIC and regulatory norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate creditworthiness of applicants (individuals & small businesses) for 3-wheeler / 2 - wheeler EV loans.
• Conduct detailed credit appraisal including financial analysis, cash-flow assessment, trade advance verification, and field verification wherever required.
• Ensure accurate and timely CIC (CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, CRIF) reporting for all disbursed cases and portfolio updates.
• Underwrite files for 3-wheeler (L5 & L3 category) financing with focus on trade advance-based lending.
• Monitor portfolio performance, early warning signals, and delinquency trends; initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, legal & collection teams for smooth loan processing and recovery.
• Maintain deviation logs, policy exception approvals, and ensure adherence to credit policy.
• Prepare MIS reports on approval rates, rejection reasons, portfolio PAR, and CIC hygiene.
• Contribute to periodic review and enhancement of credit policy & underwriting guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in vehicle finance / commercial vehicle / 3-wheeler financing.
• Strong hands-on experience in CIC reporting (uploading, downloading, dispute resolution).
• Proven expertise in trade advance verification and 3-wheeler underwriting (L5 & L3 category).
• Good understanding of NBFC regulatory guidelines, KFS, and fair practice code.
• Excellent financial analysis, ratio interpretation, and cash-flow assessment skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of FinnOne/LOS is an added advantage.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
