Job Title: Credit Manager Construction Finance

Location: Mumbai

Role Objective:

To evaluate, assess, and approve credit proposals for construction finance within the housing finance domain, ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines while maintaining portfolio quality and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Appraisal & Evaluation:

• Assess creditworthiness of developers and projects under construction finance proposals.
• Analyze financial statements, project viability, cash flow projections, and promoter background.
• Conduct site visits and market intelligence to validate project feasibility.

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Identify potential risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory norms, and RBI/HFC guidelines.

• Sanctioning & Approval:

• Prepare detailed credit appraisal notes for sanctioning authorities.
• Present cases to credit committees and respond to queries with clarity and data-backed insights.

• Portfolio Monitoring:

• Track project progress, disbursement schedules, and repayment timelines.
• Monitor early warning signals and initiate corrective actions to prevent delinquencies.

• Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with business teams, legal, technical, and operations departments for end-to-end credit processing.
• Engage with external agencies like valuers, legal counsel, and auditors as required.

• Policy & Process Improvement:

• Contribute to the refinement of credit policies and underwriting frameworks.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.

Key Requirements:

• Education:

  CA/MBA (Finance)

• Experience:

  5–10 years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably in construction finance or project finance within housing finance/NBFC/banking sector.
