Credit Analyst

Responsibilities

• Assess client financial health: balances, repayment history, income, and spending patterns.
• Create structured debt management plans (debt avalanche/snowball, consolidation loans, balance transfers).
• Provide advice on

  FICO credit scores

  , credit utilization ratios, and long-term score improvement.
• Stay updated on

  consumer protection laws (FTC, CFPB)

  and credit regulations.
• Deliver ongoing coaching and track client progress toward debt reduction goals.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of

  U.S. credit card market, repayment tools, and regulations

  .
• Familiarity with

  FICO scoring models

  and credit bureau reports (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
• Proven experience as a Financial Advisor, Debt Counselor, or Credit Specialist with U.S clients.

Pay & Work Structure

• You’ll be classified as an hourly contractor to Mercor.
• Paid weekly via Stripe Connect, based on hours logged.
• Part-time (20 hrs/week) with fully remote, async flexibility — work from anywhere on your own schedule.
