Job Title: Counter Manager

Location: Challani Jewellery Mart, T. Nagar, Chennai
Department: Retail Showroom Operations
Reporting To: Floor Manager / Showroom Head

Job Summary:

The Counter Manager is responsible for managing assigned jewellery counters, ensuring excellent customer engagement, smooth sales operations, and accurate product handling. The role involves leading the counter sales team, maintaining displays, and meeting sales targets while upholding the brand’s quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead counter sales executives to ensure smooth counter operations.
• Attend to customers promptly, ensuring courteous and professional service.
• Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable jewellery designs and products.
• Maintain product display, stock arrangement, and counter cleanliness at all times.
• Ensure billing accuracy and support in order processing or customization requests.
• Track daily sales, prepare reports, and work towards achieving sales targets.
• Coordinate with stock, billing, and floor teams for product movement.
• Manage high-value transactions with integrity and adherence to company policies.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism.
• Train and mentor counter staff on product knowledge and sales presentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

Junior Level

Any Graduate

2–4 years

Retail or jewellery showroom experience

Mid Level

Any Graduate / Diploma in Retail Management

5–8 years

Jewellery / Luxury / Premium Retail

Senior Level

Graduate / MBA (Retail / Marketing preferred)

8–12 years

Leadership experience in jewellery counter management

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good product knowledge (gold, diamond, platinum, and silver)
• Sales-oriented with excellent convincing ability
• Team management and leadership qualities
• Attention to detail in stock and billing accuracy
• Neat grooming and professional attitude
• Basic computer knowledge (POS / Inventory systems preferred)

Compensation:

Salary will be based on experience and interview performance.
