We are currently looking for Costing Engineer for Leading Sheet Metal Manufacturing Industry, Please find below JD for reference. Designation: Costing Engineer Experience: 2+ Years Location: Halol, Gujarat. Qualification: Diploma or BE in Mechanical (Exp. in Mechanical Work will be considered). On-Roll Job 5 Days Working Shift Timings: 9 AM to 6:30 PM Canteen & Transportation will be provided from company end. Job Profile / Responsibility To understand product manufacturing processes and develop ground up cost estimates. Cost Estimates - By analyzing how much a component should cost to manufacture. Understanding of cost drivers involved such as Material, Time, Labor, Machine and Overhead costs. Gather proposals, specifications and related documents and liaise with stakeholders in order to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current products. Utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data. Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement. Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review. Actively contribute to the development and support of cost estimating processes, bench marking, and cost estimating tools and look at ways to make improvements. Analyze supplier quotes and provide information and data, which aids communications with suppliers and customers and achieves cost optimization. Support all activities in cost engineering and take a proactive approach towards improvements. Provide cost estimates during change process and advise the cost impact of changes. Track and monitor activity. Work with stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate and to make appropriate adjustments to resolve issues. Overall, Purpose of the Role: 1. To collect and analyze data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product. 2. Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others. 3. Delivers support for supplier negotiations. May hold people and budgetary responsibility. 4. The role exists to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in the current and future. Skills Required 1. Verbal and Mail Communication 2. MS Office Proficiency 3. Interpersonal 4. Analytical and negotiation Skills 5. Strong attention to details and accuracy skills 6. Good knowledge of estimating techniques 7. Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data and translate to others.
