Corporate Compliance Assistant - Government Relations Specialist About the Role We are seeking a Corporate Compliance Assistant with specialized expertise in corporate-to-government compliance based in our Bangalore, India office. This role will support our compliance team in navigating the complex regulatory landscape governing business interactions with government entities in India. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and ensure compliance with Indian regulations related to government contracting, lobbying, and corporate-government interactions • Assist in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures aligned with Indian regulatory requirements • Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential compliance risks within the Indian regulatory context • Support the preparation of regulatory filings and documentation for Indian authorities • Collaborate with legal, business, and government relations teams to address compliance issues • Maintain records of corporate interactions with Indian government officials and agencies • Help train employees on compliance requirements and best practices specific to India • Research evolving Indian regulations and provide updates to the compliance team • Assist in investigating potential compliance violations and recommending remedial actions Required Qualifications • 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate compliance in India, with specific focus on government relations compliance • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, or related field from a recognized Indian university • Strong understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks governing corporate-government interactions • Knowledge of key Indian legislation such as Prevention of Corruption Act, Companies Act, and relevant industry-specific regulations • Experience with compliance monitoring and reporting tools • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably Hindi • Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable guidance Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree or certification in compliance, law, or related field • Experience in a regulated industry in India (e.g., healthcare, finance, telecom) • Knowledge of international compliance standards (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, etc.) and their application in Indian business contexts • Familiarity with Indian government procurement processes and regulations • Experience with compliance management software What We Offer • Competitive salary and benefits package as per Indian market standards • Professional development opportunities • Collaborative and supportive work environment in our Bangalore office • Opportunity to work on complex compliance challenges in the Indian regulatory landscape • Career advancement potential within a growing compliance function Location: Bangalore, India Employment Type: Full-time Show more Show less
