Educational Qualification
Post Graduate Degree – B-Tech + MBA/ master’s in communication or journalism/ MBA Essential: MICA / NMIMS / Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC) / IIMC/ MCRC Jamia or similar
ii) Experience:
o Applicants should have a minimum of 12 - 14 years of work experience in corporate communication or experience of a leading national daily/ wire/ broadcast media o They should be proficient in writing (e.g. press releases, speeches for management) and have excellent media relations. o Candidates with experience of working in a corporate setup with substantial exposure in handling crisis communication will have an edge o Candidates with engineering background or exposure of manufacturing sector will also have an added advantage Main Responsibilities Key Responsibilities o Drive positive PR for the Company o Plan, conceptualize, and execute PR strategies to garner positive media coverage on desired subjects o Support in educating media on critical issues o Facilitate media interviews for Company spokespersons o Media Relations:
Build strong relationships with media o Content creation:
Conceptualize and draft content including press releases, background papers, OPED, media briefing documents for top management, and so on. o Experience in writing speeches for top management will be preferred o Agency Management:
o Work with PR agency to achieve deliverables Competency Requirements Functional/ Behavioral / Technical o Storyteller with good communication and presentation skills o Excellent networking skills o High quality written and verbal communication o Deft at data analytics and data presentation o Self-motivated with capability to work independently o Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks o Open to learning and working in the manufacturing sector o Possess good interpersonal skills o Extrovert and capable of coordinating with various departments within the organization and external agencies o good understanding of corporate culture, systems and processes o Understanding Automobiles/ automobile business and its nuances will be “nice to have” competencies
