Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Core & CCA Engineer to oversee and manage the design, fabrication, assembly, and quality of core building and coil-core assembly (CCA) processes for power and distribution transformers. The role ensures that all activities are executed in accordance with technical drawings, quality standards, and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities:1. Core Building:
- Supervise the cutting, stacking, and assembly of CRGO (Cold Rolled Grain Oriented) or amorphous cores.
- Ensure correct placement and alignment of limbs and yokes.
- Verify adherence to core design, dimension tolerances, and magnetic performance requirements.
2. Coil Winding & Preparation:
- Review and interpret winding schedules and technical drawings.
- Supervise LV/HV coil winding (copper/aluminum), drying, and insulation processes.
- Ensure correct coil dimensions, interlayer insulation, and structural stability.
3. Coil-Core Assembly (CCA):
- Oversee the process of lowering coils onto the core (core insertion), and proper alignment for CCA.
- Ensure correct clearances, clamping, and bracing to avoid mechanical failures or electrical faults.
- Manage the lead connection routing as per drawings and safety standards.
4. Process Control & Optimization:
- Monitor process efficiency, material usage, and wastage.
- Optimize core loss, improve assembly time, and reduce human error through better tooling and techniques.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct in-process inspections and checks at each stage (core, winding, drying, and assembly).
- Ensure all CCA work adheres to applicable standards like IS, IEC, ANSI, and internal QA protocols.
6. Technical Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of CCA drawings, coil data sheets, process parameters, and quality checkpoints.
- Support preparation of manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
7. Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with the Design, Quality, and Testing departments to resolve issues or implement design changes.
- Provide support during customer/third-party inspections and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of experience in transformer manufacturing, particularly in core building and CCA operations.
- Good knowledge of transformer construction (oil-filled/dry type), core losses, insulation systems, and winding techniques.
- Familiar with electrical standards (IEC 60076 series, IS 2026, etc.)
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of transformer physics and assembly techniques.
- Hands-on knowledge of winding machines, core cutting/staking tools, and assembly jigs.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and ERP systems (preferred).

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
