Job Title: Core & Coil Assembly (Core & CAA)
Location: Atlas Transformers India Limited (Por,GIDC)
Experience: 2 to 5 Years in transformers industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented Core & Coil Assembly (CAA) Engineer to oversee and execute the assembly of transformer cores and coils. The ideal candidate will ensure precision, quality, and adherence to design specifications during the core building, coil mounting, and final assembly stages. This role is critical to ensuring the mechanical integrity, performance, and reliability of distribution and power transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute the core building and coil assembly process for power and distribution transformers.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, core stacking plans, and coil placement layouts accurately.
  • Ensure correct alignment, tightening, and clamping of cores and coils to minimize losses and avoid deformation.
  • Perform dimensional checks, insulation clearances, and ensure compliance with design tolerances.
  • Coordinate with the winding, fabrication, and testing departments to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Ensure proper handling of CRGO steel cores, insulation materials, and copper/aluminum coils.
  • Monitor the use of correct hardware (clamping frames, tie rods, core bolts, spacers, etc.).
  • Implement and follow safety protocols during core stacking and lifting operations.
  • Maintain assembly documentation, quality checklists, and process records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the core & coil assembly stage.
  • Contribute to process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of experience in core building and coil assembly in transformer manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of transformer design, CRGO core stacking, insulation systems, and coil placement.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical assembly drawings.
  • Understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with tools and machines used in the core & coil assembly process.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and safety consciousness.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with IS / IEC / ANSI transformer standards.
  • Experience with dry type or oil-immersed transformer assembly.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
  • Experience working with ERP or MES systems for production tracking.

Working Conditions:

  • Workshop/factory floor environment, with potential exposure to heavy materials, oil, and high-voltage equipment.
  • May involve physical work and occasional lifting, depending on transformer size and assembly complexity.
  • Must follow all safety and PPE requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
