Role Overview

As a

Contractual Journey Mentor

, you will be the face of EdTerra on the ground—leading and managing school student groups during domestic educational trips (2–4 days in duration). Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth execution of the itinerary while prioritizing student safety, engagement, and overall experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Student Engagement

  • Lead and manage groups of up to 40 school students and teachers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders during the journey.

Travel Operations & Coordination

  • Handle logistics: transport, hotel check-ins, meals, and itinerary activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors (hotels, transport, guides, etc.) for smooth service delivery.

Safety & Welfare

  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Address real-time concerns, emergencies, and student issues with calm professionalism.

Communication & Reporting

  • Stay in sync with the EdTerra operations team and school representatives.
  • Document feedback, journey reports, and expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in travel operations, education, event management, or hospitality.
  • Must have managed at least 25 school trips or similar group journeys.
  • Must be open to frequent travel and flexible work schedules during the contract.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (any stream; Travel, Hospitality, or Education preferred).
  • Strong leadership and group management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Indian geography and vendor coordination.
  • High adaptability, quick decision-making, and crisis-handling skills.
  • Experience working with school-age students is highly desirable.

Working Schedule

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturdays off)
  • Office Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (when not on journey)
  • Journey Hours: On-call during trips (2–4 days per journey)
