About the Role

As a Content Writer/Intern for our Sanatan Dharma platform, you will be responsible for creating engaging, accurate, and spiritually enriching content that serves both newcomers to the faith and devoted practitioners. You will work closely with subject-matter experts, spiritual leaders, and our editorial team to produce content that upholds the authentic teachings and traditions of Sanatan Dharma while making them accessible to modern audiences.

Essential Requirements

Spiritual Content Expertise:

• Deep knowledge and understanding of Sanatan Dharma philosophy, practices, and traditions
• Demonstrated ability to write authentically and respectfully about Hindu religious concepts
• Familiarity with major Hindu scriptures, including the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, and Mahabharata
• Understanding of core concepts such as dharma, karma, moksha, ahimsa, and the cyclical nature of existence
• Awareness of major festivals, rituals, and their spiritual significance

Tradition Awareness:

• Understanding of various Hindu sects (Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Shaktism) and philosophical schools
• Familiarity with prominent saints, gurus, and spiritual leaders—both historical and contemporary
• Knowledge of major temples, pilgrimage sites, and their religious and cultural importance
• Active engagement with spiritual content across books, blogs, podcasts, and YouTube channels to stay informed on audience preferences

Core Content Writing Requirements

Writing Excellence:

• Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Strong research and analytical skills with ability to verify religious references and historical contexts
• Versatility in writing formats: articles, blog posts, social media content, devotional pieces, educational guides
• Experience applying SEO best practices to ensure content visibility without compromising authenticity

Technical & Professional Skills:

• Familiarity with digital marketing fundamentals and social media platforms
• Basic knowledge of analytics tools to measure content performance
• Excellent time management, communication, and collaboration abilities
• Willingness to receive and incorporate editorial feedback constructively

Key Responsibilities

• Produce well-researched spiritual content—including articles, blog posts, and devotionals—aligned with project briefs.
• Assist in gathering and verifying information from scriptures, scholarly sources, and expert interviews.
• Collaborate with editors to refine drafts, implement feedback, and ensure doctrinal accuracy.
• Support content scheduling and CMS publishing, maintaining consistency with the editorial calendar.

Qualifications

Educational & Professional Background:

• Candidates from any educational background are encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years of content writing experience (internship experience acceptable for intern position)
• Prior experience writing spiritual, religious, or faith-based content strongly preferred
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to explain complex topics clearly for general audiences

Cultural Competency:

• Proven track record of handling sacred topics with sensitivity and doctrinal accuracy
• Familiarity with Sanskrit terminology and appropriate usage in content
• Understanding of regional variations in Hindu practices and traditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Multilingual abilities in Hindi or Sanskrit
• Experience with spiritual or religious publishing platforms
• Prior collaboration with spiritual leaders, scholars, or religious institutions

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
