Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Urologist to join a multi-specialty / super-specialty hospital in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh. The candidate will provide expert urological care, including diagnostics, surgeries (open, endoscopic, laparoscopic), management of inpatient and outpatient cases, and will collaborate with other departments. - Manage outpatient consultations for urology cases: diagnosis, treatment planning, follow-ups.
- Perform urological surgeries: open, endoscopic, laparoscopic, laser, urology-oncology procedures (e.g. TURP, PCNL, URS), reconstructive operations as needed.
- Perform necessary diagnostic procedures (e.g. imaging, cystoscopy, biopsy).
- Inpatient care: manage admission, pre-op and post-op care.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (oncology, nephrology, radiology, ICU etc.).
- Maintain and ensure standards of patient safety and ethical practices.
- Teach / train junior doctors/residents if hospital has teaching duties.
- Maintain record-keeping, participate in audits, quality improvement.
- Be on call / emergency duty coverage as agreed.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree (recognized by Medical Council of India / NMC)
- MS in General Surgery or equivalent
- Super-specialization: MCh in Urology or DNB Urology
- Valid medical registration with State Medical Council / NMC
Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of post-super-specialization experience preferred (but fresher consultants with strong training may also be considered)
- Proven ability to perform a wide range of urology procedures
- Familiarity with advanced urology equipments (endoscopy, laser, lap/laparoscopic setup etc.)
Salary & Compensation
- Monthly salary: Negotiable, expected range ₹3,00,000 to ₹6,50,000 per month depending on experience, hospital, location, and surgical load.
- Advance salary: Provision to receive advance payment (e.g. one month’s salary) at time of joining.
- Accommodation: Hospital-provided housing or accommodation allowance.
- Other benefits: Travel / relocation support, medical insurance, performance incentives.
Working Conditions & Leave
- Full-time position.
- Weekly offs: at least 1 day off per week, plus public holidays as per hospital policy.
- Duty hours: Day shifts, plus on-call / emergency duty as per rota.
- Leave policies in accordance with hospital norms (e.g. casual leave, earned leave, sick leave).
