What you'll be doing… Verizon is looking for a Project/Program Manager to lead a portfolio of work in the newly established Program Management Office (PMO) in the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) team for Verizon Business Group’s (VBG’s) Marketing organization. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong customer orientation, excellent ability to influence, and a passion for executing large-scale, complex projects and programs. In this role, you will work closely with all levels of our organization and amongst digital product owners (POs), functional subject matter experts (SMEs), and IT, in order to ensure we’re delivering the most valuable outcomes at the best time for our customers. Develop a comprehensive program roadmap reflecting planned projects across a digital portfolio, and oversee the scoping, sizing of costs, and benefits of the projectsSupport the Front Door Process to prioritize all incoming work requests based on strategic priority, cost-benefit and resource capacity informationDefine, document and evangelize program/project planning, execution and reporting standardsLead key strategic digital initiative launches end-to-end, including release planning with Go-to-Market (GTM) teams, release slotting with IT, and readiness assessments with cross-department PMOsOptimize, automate, and govern the use of project and portfolio management tools such as JIRA and ClarityDefine and implement DXP portfolio level reporting to turn data into actionable insightsEnsure the fluid management of integration efforts, working in a matrix environment with high levels of ambiguityCreate slideware that effectively conveys compelling business stories What we're looking for… You’ll Need To Have Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.7 to 10 years of relevant work experience.Experience working in a PMO.Experience in collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholdersEffective interpersonal and team-building capabilities Even better if you have one or more of the following: Exceptional communication skills; written, oral and presentation.Demonstrated ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working up, down and across the organizationWilling to challenge the status quo, in the appropriate settings and providing compelling evidenceHas used customer-centric methods & approaches to design products and/or servicesStrategy and operations experience at a leading management consulting firm.Dedication and determination to see things through from start to finish, with a commitment to excellence.Experience formulating and implementing strategies within well-defined time frames w/ multiple stakeholders.Experience in Software Development/Engineering practices, including Agile, DevOps and Cloud tools and methodologiesIntermediate- advanced skill level using project management tools, office productivity, and data analytics tools. Advanced Proficiency in Google Suite and/or MS PowerPoint and Excel.
