Responsibilities

Lead or be part of engagements to define vision and strategy for various Retail Clients including food & grocery, fashion, home and furnishing, quick service formats and that can include franchise run operations etc

The area of work could be spread across the value chain i

Omni-Channel, Store Back-office Operations, Supply Chain, Buying & Merchandizing, PLM, Assortment Planning, Demand & Supply planning, Pricing & Promotions, CRM & Loyalty, Store Location planning, Retail Analytics etc

Work closely with clients to understand the strategy and vision and define the process blueprint or detail the requirements for subsequent realization by technology teams3

Alternatively, scan the retail operations, identify key retail personas and come up with challenges and bottlenecks, define process blueprint, finalize TO-BE capabilities, and come up with a technology roadmap to address challenges and scale operations

Research and benchmark different aspects of retail operations to suggest new innovations and best practices that helps retail brands stay ahead in the game

Leverage and apply optimization techniques (analytics, AI/ML, scenario planning) to improve retail operations, measure, and report on KPIs and deliver value6

Analyze possible process areas to identify problems/challenges, partner with technology arms of Infosys Ltd to ideate and drive Go to markets and proactively take it to clients and win deals for consulting

Additional Responsibilities:

Good communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in person and remotely

Leadership skills are a plusKnowledge of IT, Solutions-oriented approach, and entrepreneurial mindset8

Knowledge of Retail enterprise platforms (ERP like Oracle, SAP, POS systems, OMS platforms like Sterling Commerce, Hybris etc

Merchandizing & Financial Planning, Assortment planning tools, Planograming tools, Inventory management tools) is a big plus

Technical and Professional Requirements:

MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2 B-school with minimum 5+ years of experience in Retail Industry or Bachelor of Engineering from top Universities with minimum of 7 years of experience in Retail Operations

Experience in one or more of the specified areas of Retail consulting/ running business functions or equivalent experience in Brick & Mortar, Omnichannel or ecommerce in Retail space 3

Certification: Specialization in Retail Operations, Point of Sale, store back-office systems, ERP, Buying & Merchandizing or Store Management is an added advantage5

Comfortable working with complex stakeholders set up - - Business Leads, Business SME, IT Teams, Testing, Architects and Market Teams7

Knowledge of Optimization techniques, applying AI/ML, Automation or advanced analytics for smarter operations and productivity improvements is a plus
