Role Overview: As a Consultant in Urology, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating urological conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, incontinence, and cancers of the urinary system. You will perform advanced surgical interventions, including minimally invasive techniques like laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Your expertise will be sought for providing opinions on complex cases referred by general practitioners or other specialists. Additionally, you will supervise junior doctors, lead urology clinics, mentor medical students, residents, and junior doctors, and participate in clinical research to advance urological care. You will also contribute to hospital management, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development in the urology department. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and treat urological conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, incontinence, and cancers of the urinary system. - Perform advanced surgical interventions, including minimally invasive techniques like laparoscopy and robotic surgery. - Provide expert opinions for complex cases referred by general practitioners or other specialists. - Supervise junior doctors, guide multidisciplinary teams, and lead urology clinics. - Mentor medical students, residents, and junior doctors in urological care and procedures. - Participate in or lead clinical research to advance urological care. - Contribute to hospital management, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development in the urology department. Qualifications Required: - Medical degree with specialization in Urology. - Valid license to practice medicine. - Board certification in Urology. - Strong surgical skills, including experience with laparoscopy and robotic surgery. - Ability to mentor and guide medical students, residents, and junior doctors. - Experience in clinical research and hospital management will be an added advantage.,
