Physician Assistant

The Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA) supports cardiologists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions. The role involves performing patient assessments, assisting in procedures, providing patient education, and ensuring high-quality cardiac care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct initial patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations under the supervision of a cardiologist.

* Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures (e.g., ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, cardiac catheterization).

* Review and interpret test results, laboratory data, and imaging reports with the cardiology team.

* Prepare and maintain detailed patient records and documentation.

* Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary care planning.

* Assist in pre- and post-operative cardiac patient management.

* Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medication adherence, diet, and lifestyle modifications.

* Respond to cardiac emergencies under supervision as per hospital protocol.

* Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed at all times.

* Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, audits, and training programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a recognised institution.

* Certification or registration as a Physician Assistant as per local regulations.

* Minimum 1–3 years of experience in cardiology or a related speciality (preferred).

* BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (mandatory/preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

* Sound knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and common cardiac disorders.

* Proficiency in ECG interpretation and cardiac patient monitoring.

* Strong clinical judgement and critical thinking skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

* Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
