Construction Project Manager

Key Responsibilities: Construction Management:

1. Foster a collaborative partnership with contractors, ensuring mutual trust and cooperation.

2. Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, standards, and HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental) requirements.

3. Serve as the nominated ‘Supervisor’ under the ECC contract, managing and supervising the contractor. Administer contract tasks such as issuing Project Manager instructions and resolving compensation events and variations fairly.

4. Monitor site progress, including equipment installation, against the Accepted Program and short-term schedules. Recommend additional resources or alternative methods to maintain or enhance performance.

5. Track project costs and promptly report any deviations from the budget to the Project Manager. 6. Ensure that completed work quantities are accurately measured and agreed upon with the contractor.

7. Maintain comprehensive daily records of all site activities, including labor, plant usage, and any non-compliant materials or workmanship.

8. Identify design issues and provide recommendations that support engineering procedures while keeping the construction schedule on track.

9. Ensure the implementation of safety best practices across all site activities.

10. Coordinate construction activities and manage project interfaces effectively.

11. Liaise with contractors, LUL operational staff, and other third parties to ensure smooth project execution.

12. Follow the approved Project Assurance Plan (PAP) and manage the Assurance/Asset change process for new or altered Tube Lines assets.

13. Oversee the site team, including handling personnel matters, staff training, and development. Coordinate with the Senior Construction Manager or Manager of Construction as needed.

14. Be present on-site during night/engineering hours to ensure that work is carried out safely and efficiently. Compensate for unsocial hours with time off in lieu.
