Reporting to: Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager
Job Summary:
The Construction Management Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site construction activities to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, quality, and design standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution:
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and labor teams
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Planning & Scheduling:
- Prepare work schedules and construction timelines
- Coordinate material deliveries and resource allocation
- Monitor project milestones and report progress to management
Quality & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
- Conduct regular inspections and resolve site issues
- Maintain compliance with building codes and regulations Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and consultants
- Attend project meetings and provide technical inputs
- Communicate project updates and challenges to stakeholders
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain daily site reports, drawings, and records
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports, project status and delays
- Recommend corrective reports/actions
- Support in handling project billing, change orders, and claims
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and codes
- Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and construction management tools
- Leadership and team coordination
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in construction site execution
- Certification in project management (PMP, Primavera) is a plus
- Knowledge of safety protocols and site management practices
