CropRover, a fully autonomous robot, assists farmers with various tasks such as pruning, weeding, and harvesting to achieve the best farm results. Utilizing multiple sensors, high-precision navigation, and AI models, CropRover ensures real-time situational awareness and efficient farming operations without downtime. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Computer Vision Intern located in Indore. The intern will be involved in developing and optimizing computer vision algorithms for CropRover. Day-to-day tasks will include programming, data analysis, and collaborating with the engineering team to integrate vision models into the autonomous system. The intern will also test and validate the performance of these algorithms in real-world farming environments. Responsibilities Develop and optimize weed vs crop detection models using annotated datasets Work with real-world agricultural images from Indian farms Preprocess, augment, and label datasets (RGB, IR, or NIR images) Implement object detection / segmentation pipelines (YOLOv8, SAM, etc.) Collaborate with hardware and laser control teams for system integration Conduct field trials, test under varied lighting and occlusion conditions Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Proficiency in Programming Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with computer vision and machine learning methodologies Prior experience with autonomous systems or robotics is a plus Show more Show less
