Job Description

Role Overview: As a CNC Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of CNC machines with 4 and 5-axis capabilities. Your primary role will involve managing a team of CNC operators, machinists, and technicians to ensure efficient and accurate operation of the CNC equipment. You will work towards optimizing production processes, maintaining product quality, and upholding safety and operational standards. Key Responsibilities: - Team Management: - Lead, train, and supervise a team of CNC operators and machinists. - Schedule shifts and allocate resources to meet production demands. - Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and promote continuous improvement. - CNC Machine Operations: - Oversee the operation, setup, and programming of 5-axis CNC machines. - Troubleshoot machine issues, perform basic maintenance, and optimize CNC programs. - Ensure proper calibration and adjustment of machines for precision manufacturing. - Production Monitoring: - Monitor production processes to ensure quality and timely completion of projects. - Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications. - Maintain detailed records of production progress, machine performance, and material usage. - Quality Assurance: - Collaborate with the quality control team to meet industry standards. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality guidelines, and environmental policies. - Implement corrective actions for defects or deviations from production standards. - Process Improvement: - Continuously assess and improve machining processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. - Identify opportunities for new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance production. - Evaluate and enhance workflow, equipment utilization, and turnaround time. - Inventory and Supply Management: - Oversee inventory of raw materials, tools, and parts for CNC operations. - Work with procurement to ensure adequate supplies without excess inventory. - Manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (preferred). - Minimum 5 years of experience in operating and managing CNC 4 and 5-axis machines. - Strong knowledge of CNC programming, particularly for 4 or 5-axis operations. - Experience with machine tools, tooling, and CNC machining processes. - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to interpret blueprints, manage production schedules, and optimize workflows.
