Computer Lab Assistant

Job Summary:

The Computer Lab Assistant supports the daily operations of a computer lab, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly, providing technical assistance to users, and maintaining a productive and secure environment for students, faculty, or staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist users with hardware and software issues.
• Monitor the lab to ensure appropriate use of equipment and resources.
• Perform routine maintenance on computers and peripheral devices.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications.
• Maintain inventory of lab equipment and supplies.
• Enforce lab policies and procedures.
• Report technical problems to IT support or escalate as necessary.
• Provide basic training and guidance to lab users on computer usage and applications.
• Keep the lab environment clean, organized, and secure.
• Assist in scheduling lab hours or managing reservations (if applicable).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with common software (Microsoft Office, browsers, printing utilities).
• Prior experience in a help desk or technical support role is a plus.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
