Job Summary: The System Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the college’s IT infrastructure, CCTV network and displays. This includes managing servers, networks, computer systems, and ensuring the smooth functioning of all digital systems used in academic and administrative operations. The administrator also provides technical support to staff and students, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment. Manage and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, internet connectivity, and firewall systems. Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students for hardware, software, and network issues. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure system reliability and availability. Perform regular backup operations and implement disaster recovery protocols. Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets. Install and manage campus software such as antivirus, MS Office, etc. Enforce IT security protocols and ensure data protection policies are adhered to. Liaise with vendors and service providers for IT procurement and support. Document technical processes, system configurations, and network layouts. Assist in setting up smart classrooms, computer labs, and digital examination systems. Keep up to date with the latest technologies and suggest upgrades as needed. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the computer lab and ensure all systems are functional. Provide technical assistance to faculty and students during lab sessions. Install, configure, and update software as required for academic courses. Monitor the proper use of lab equipment and enforce lab rules and regulations. Perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and basic hardware/software maintenance. Maintain an updated inventory of systems, peripherals, and lab resources. Coordinate with System Administrator for advanced technical issues. Ensure internet connectivity, antivirus protection, and data security in the lab. Assist in conducting practical examinations Support faculty in preparing lab-related teaching materials and setup.
