Computer Lab Assistant

Job Summary:

The Computer Lab Assistant will support the efficient functioning of the college computer laboratories by ensuring proper maintenance of systems, assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, and providing technical support for smooth academic and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the computer lab and ensure all systems are functional.
• Provide technical assistance to faculty and students during lab sessions.
• Install, configure, and update software as required for academic courses.
• Monitor the proper use of lab equipment and enforce lab rules and regulations.
• Perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and basic hardware/software maintenance.
• Maintain an updated inventory of systems, peripherals, and lab resources.
• Coordinate with System Administrator for advanced technical issues.
• Ensure internet connectivity, antivirus protection, and data security in the lab.
• Assist in conducting practical examinations
• Support faculty in preparing lab-related teaching materials and setup.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software applications.
• Basic networking and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with students patiently.
• Good communication and organizational skill
• Work Environment:
• Based in the college computer laboratories.
• Requires flexibility during examinations and special academic activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
