As an ECE Lab Technician at our institution, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Electronics and Communication Engineering laboratories. Your attention to detail and technical skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth operations of the labs. You will work closely with faculty and students, assisting them with experiments, maintaining lab equipment, and promoting a safe and organized lab environment. Your responsibilities will include setting up and maintaining lab equipment, providing assistance during practical sessions, troubleshooting and repairing electronic instruments, and keeping an up-to-date inventory of tools and components. Additionally, you will be responsible for calibrating instruments, supporting the development of new experiments, and maintaining records of lab activities and equipment usage. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field. Ideally, you should have at least 3 years of experience in a technical or laboratory role. Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, communication systems, microcontrollers, and embedded systems will be beneficial. Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and soldering tools is desired. Strong troubleshooting skills, basic programming knowledge, good communication abilities, and attention to detail are also important qualities for this position. Working in a lab environment, you may need to lift or move equipment occasionally and interact with students and faculty on a daily basis.
