Computer Lab Assistant

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated and technically sound Computer Lab Assistant to support day-to-day operations of the computer lab. Assist students and faculty with technical and software related tasks. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational knowledge in programming languages and other IT related technologies.

• Monitor and manage the daily functioning of the computer lab.
• Passion for teaching and helping students with technical queries.
• Provide support in practical sessions related to programming and computer science courses.
• Assist students and faculty with lab systems, software tools, and programming assignments.
• Maintain system logs, usage records, and lab inventory.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Ensure all lab equipment, software, and systems are running smoothly and securely.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good understanding of C, C++, Python, JAVA and Visual Basic.
• Proficient in MS Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis functions.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with OS environments (Windows/Linux).
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
