Compliance Officer

As a Compliance Officer based in Gift City, Gandhinagar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring end-to-end compliance with IFSC regulations, corporate laws, and other regulatory frameworks. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Secretarial functions of the GIFT Branch of the AMC. You will be tasked with monitoring compliance under IFSC Regulations, Corporate Laws, and supervising various day-to-day compliances as per IFSC regulations. Your duties will also involve drafting legal documents such as PPM, Contribution agreements, Trust Deeds, and vetting/drafting agreements with various stakeholders. You will need to have a deep understanding of the laws in overseas jurisdictions where the fund is distributed, reviewing marketing materials, and listing/registering funds in different jurisdictions. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and filing periodical reports as required by the IFSC Regulator and liaising with statutory authorities, auditors, and legal firms on compliance matters. To qualify for this role, you should hold a CS qualification with at least 5 years of Financial Services experience, with AIF experience considered an advantage. An LL.B/LL.M degree from a premier Indian/International university or other relevant certifications will be beneficial. You must possess a good command of the law, excellent knowledge of the Indian legal system, strong communication skills, and proficiency in the English language. Attention to detail, investigative nature, proactive mindset, and willingness to relocate to Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar are essential qualities for success in this position.
