About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Trust and Safety Compliance Manager to build foundational policies and workflows for our Flex Platform, ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction while maintaining an exceptional talent experience. You'll collaborate with third-party vendors, product teams, and Turing Legal to develop comprehensive frameworks for ID verification, risk management, fraud prevention, and geographic expansion. This is a ground-floor opportunity to architect essential systems from scratch—we need someone who thrives in ambiguous environments and is passionate about building scalable trust and safety infrastructure that will protect our platform's integrity and fuel sustainable global growth.

Responsibilities

• ID Verification, KYC and Trade Sanctions Compliance
• Oversee identity verification processes and document authentication workflows
• Coordinate with third-party verification partners and payment processes.
• Manage Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements
• Work with Turing's People Ops team to establish worker eligibility criteria and oversee background check processes across different jurisdictions.

Trust & Safety Operations

• Develop and implement trust & safety policies to protect against risk, fraud, misinformation, and harmful content
• Manage platform community guidelines and develop policies for account suspension, deactivation, and appeals processes, working with cross-functional teams to manage escalations.
• Handle escalations related to worker misconduct and platform abuse.
• Monitor and manage privacy and data deletion requests in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
• Ensure system of record completeness and accuracy for compliance documentation and audit trails.
• Serve as policy expert for product and legal departments on trust & safety issues.
• Work with IT team to implement IP address monitoring and location verification systems.
• Ensure compliance with geographic working restrictions and location-based requirements.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Background in trust & safety, platform compliance, or security operations.
• Tech Company Background: Experience working at technology companies or with automated compliance monitoring and AI/ML platforms.
