Role Overview:

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate compliance requirements across all operations of the company, including overseas subsidiaries, manufacturing plants in India and abroad, and global representative offices. This role involves monitoring and managing the compliance tool implemented by the organization, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and driving continuous improvements in compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Monitoring & Governance: Oversee the compliance monitoring activities across the organization, its branches & subsidiaries in India and abroad. Ensure adherence to all the applicable laws and regulations. Stay updated on international compliance standards and regulatory changes impacting the pharma industry.
  • Tool Administration: Managing the centralized compliance tool, maintaining accurate compliance trackers, periodic updates of compliance requirements, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring timely update of all filings, approvals, and renewals. Act as the primary point of contact for all users of the compliance tool. Coordinate with the external vendor providing the tool for structural or functional changes, enhancements, and troubleshooting. Ensure proper documentation and audit trails within the tool.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with various Indian and foreign stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate updation of compliance entries, supporting documents, and status updates on the tool. Provide guidance and training to users on tool functionalities and compliance processes.
  • Audit: Conduct periodic compliance audits and reviews, identify gaps or delays, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure closure and proper documentation.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate compliance reports and dashboards for senior management.

Qualifications

  • LLB (Bachelor of Law)
  • Company Secretary (CS) qualification is an added advantage.

Experience

2-4 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within a large pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry. Experience in managing compliance tools/software and coordinating with global teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to pharma entities in India and abroad.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in compliance software/tools and MS Office.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to propose corrective measures.
