KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To create and maintain positive safety culture in factory.
- To conduct HIRA and bring down the risk level.
- Conduct daily safety walk and correct the safety abnormalities (unsafe condition and unsafe act) by coordinating with concerned department.
- Ensure 100% compliance of Permit to Work system.
- Ensure Environmental & Safety compliance as per long term road map of the organisation.
- Ensure plant activities are compliant with Companys SHESHE Policies, Standards & Procedures.
- Act as a Factory SHESHE Management Representative and ensure that the ISO standard requirements are complied.
- Regularly review and familiarise with all applicable legislation and standards related to SHE and ensure compliance.
- Establish SHE Annual Key Performance Indicators and track for compliance.
- Manage SHE Statistics reporting of the factory and provide regular SHE performance updates to management.
- Interface effectively with peer departments - Engineering, Production, S&R, Security and HR to achieve companys SHE goals and objectives.
- Perform SHE Audits and Inspections, prepare reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measures as necessary.
- Participate and assist the Supervisors, Area In charges in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions where necessary.
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work place risks, raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices.
- To develop and implement the SHE training programmes.
To implement S&E policies and practices at the premises. Responsible for Site assessment & Compliance of On-Site Emergency Plan. To implement incident and near-miss recording, analysis and reporting for the site. - Ensuring that the FSMS is established, implemented, maintained.
- Reporting on the performance, effectiveness and suitability of FSMS to the
Management.
- Liaison with external parties as required on safety, environment matters in
consultation with the Factory manager.
- To Set site objective and departmental objective for SHE
- Ensure all MSDS are available for each chemical used at the site.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
B tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with advanced Diploma in Industrial safety from recognized institute.
Desirable
Diploma in international Health & Safety from NEBOSH
COMPETENCIES:
Technical :
- In depth knowledge of ISO 45001 & IS0 14001.
- Well versed with Risk Assessment techniques.
- Able to carry out incident investigations, root cause analysis and suggest corrective and preventive action.
- Understanding of behavior based safety program to identify at risk behaviors.
- Must have good auditing skills to carry out safety audits
- Understanding of manufacturing processes/technology.
- Knowledge of statutory /Regulatory requirements.
- Business and cost understanding.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years in safety & environment in a reputed large-scale manufacturing industry.
