Job Description

  • Assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff in preparing and cooking tandoor dishes
  • Maintain and operate the tandoor oven, ensuring proper temperature control and cooking techniques
  • Prepare ingredients for tandoor cooking, including marinating meats and vegetables
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene in the tandoor section
  • Follow recipes and cooking methods as directed by senior chefs
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper care of kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation in the tandoor section
  • Participate in menu development and suggest improvements for tandoor dishes
  • Support other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or special events
