Pastry Production: Assist in preparation, baking, finishing, and decorating a wide range of pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts. Follow standardized recipes and maintain product consistency. Ensure all baked goods meet the quality and aesthetic standards of the brand. Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards during production. Supervisory Duties: Oversee junior staff and kitchen helpers, ensuring assigned tasks are completed efficiently. Train and guide new team members on recipes, techniques, and kitchen protocols. Maintain discipline, hygiene, and orderliness in the kitchen. Ensure that all staff are following company systems, recipes, and safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with the management regarding staff performance or operational challenges. Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor daily stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and consumables. Maintain accurate inventory records; conduct routine stock checks. Place requisitions for raw materials and packaging in advance to avoid shortages. Ensure proper storage of ingredients with correct labeling and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) method. Minimize wastage by monitoring usage and reporting any discrepancies. Maintain proper documentation for incoming and outgoing stock. Required Skills & Qualities: ✔ Basic knowledge of pastry production and techniques. ✔ Strong sense of responsibility and ownership. ✔ Leadership skills to manage junior staff and ensure task delegation. ✔ Excellent organizational and time-management skills. ✔ Proficient in fondant, chocolate work and breads. ✔ Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. ✔ Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take initiative. ✔ Good communication skills (verbal & written) Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pastry or bakery production (freshers with strong learning intent may be considered). Prior experience in supervisory or inventory management roles is a bonus. Familiarity with bakery or patisserie environment preferred. Experience in fondant, chocolate and bread work is a must.
