Commercial Manager

Role & responsibilities:

1. Waste Disposal Management

• Ensure timely disposal of all types of textile waste.
• Coordinate with production and Waste Disposal Team to ensure waste is moved promptly and does not accumulate.
• Maintain accurate records of daily waste generation and disposal volumes.

2. Fair Bidding & Sales Process

• Conduct transparent and fair bidding/auction processes for waste materials.
• Prepare bidding documents, invite bidders, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Verify bidder credentials and ensure fair evaluation before finalizing the sale.
• Maintain complete documentation for all bidding events.
• Identify alternate buyers for materials that do not receive bids.
• Negotiate prices within approved limits to ensure zero waste stock build-up.
• Ensure continuous movement and sale of low-value or slow-moving waste.

3. Market Survey & Pricing

• Conduct regular market surveys to understand current prices of different textile waste categories.
• Analyze competitor pricing, market demand, and seasonal changes.
• Provide monthly reports on market trends and recommend pricing strategies.

4. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management

• Identify new buyers, traders, recyclers, and waste processors for existing and new waste categories.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regular waste buyers.
• Expand the customer network to improve bidding participation and maximize sale value.

6. Stock Control & Documentation

• Monitor waste storage areas and ensure no backlog of waste material.
• Maintain proper documentation of stock levels, sales records, and disposal logs.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports for management on waste status and sales performance.

7. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure waste handling, storage, and disposal meet environmental, safety, and company standards.
• Coordinate with EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) teams for safe disposal methods and compliance requirements.

Skills

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in Textile Industry preferably Marketing
• Experience in waste management is an added advantage
