Collection Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Collection Specialist – Accounts Receivable to manage and improve our company's cash flow by ensuring timely collections of outstanding customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving billing and payment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and aging receivables.
• Initiate collection efforts via phone, email, and written communication.
• Negotiate payment plans and resolve customer billing disputes in a professional manner.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activity and customer interactions.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Billing) to resolve discrepancies and improve billing processes.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly aging reports to management.
• Recommend accounts for escalation, legal action, or write-offs when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 6 months of experience in accounts receivable, credit & collections, or a similar finance role.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of billing and collections processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹24,331.29 per month
